Match week 4 of the RLFG 13s Championship delivered another competitive round of fixtures as Tigers and Bulls secured important victories, while Dragons collected walkover points following the cancellation of their scheduled fixture against Titans.

Nungua Tigers produced a dominant attacking display to defeat Skolars 32–6 in an encounter that showcased their efficiency in possession and ability to capitalize on key moments. From the early stages, Tigers controlled territory and tempo, applying sustained pressure through organized attacking phases and disciplined defensive structure.

Godfred Aikins opened the scoring at 9min before Kofi Montchon added the conversion to hand Tigers an early advantage. Adinyira Stephen Kwame extended the lead shortly after with a try at 12 mins, again converted by Kofi Montchon at 12:41mins as Tigers quickly established control of the contest.

Skolars responded positively midway through the first half when Iliyasu Musbaw crossed over at 15, with Michael Egyiri successfully converting at 16 to reduce the deficit. However, Tigers maintained composure and responded immediately with another period of attacking dominance.

Aikins grabbed his second try at 20min, although Montchon was unable to convert. The Tigers forward completed an outstanding individual performance with his hat-trick try at 23min before Montchon converted at 24min. Anthony Elorm Awuku added another score at 27, with Montchon again successful from the tee at 27:30 to hand Tigers a commanding 28–6 halftime lead.

The second half was more controlled as Tigers focused on maintaining possession and defensive discipline. Charles Kweku Dzisah added the only try of the half at 37mins, while Montchon narrowly missed the conversion attempt as Tigers completed a comprehensive 32–6 victory and continued their strong run of form in the competition.

Dragons were awarded a 20–0 walkover victory after Titans were unable to field enough players for the scheduled fixture. The result ensures Dragons remain firmly in contention as the championship season progresses.

The final fixture of the round saw Bulls secure a hard-fought 24–4 victory over Panthers in an intense and physical 80-minute contest. Bulls made a strong start through Richard Browne Asare, who crossed over at 4mins before converting his own try at 5min to give Bulls immediate momentum.

Panthers responded through Stanley Dzagah at 7mins, although Adam Marsuu was unable to add the conversion, keeping the Bulls narrowly ahead. Bulls continued to control large periods of possession and territory throughout the opening half, with Darryl Amoatey adding another try at 23 min before Richard Browne Asare missed the conversion attempt at 24min. Bulls entered the halftime break leading 10–4.

The second half remained competitive for long stretches, with Panthers showing resilience defensively and continuing to challenge physically around the middle of the field. However, Bulls gradually created separation through improved execution and sustained pressure in attacking areas.

Wulff Bevis Wilfred extended the lead with a try at 60, though Richard Browne Asare was unable to convert at 62. Collins Kweku Ofosu then crossed twice in the closing stages, scoring at 70min and again at 79min to seal the result. Darryl Amoatey successfully converted the first of the late tries at 71, while Emmanuel Arku Boison missed the final conversion attempt at 80:00 as Bulls closed out the game with authority.

Despite the scoreline, Panthers delivered a determined performance and remained competitive for much of the contest, particularly during the defensive exchanges in the opening hour of play.

As the RLFG 13s Championship continues to build momentum, Matchweek 4 once again highlighted the growing competitiveness, structure, and physical intensity of Rugby League in Ghana, with clubs continuing to raise standards across every round of the competition.

Following these results, Dragons remain at the top of the RLFG 13s Championship table with 12 points. Bulls occupy second place with 9 points, while Panthers and Tigers are tied in third place on 6 points each. Skolars sit just behind with 3 points, while Titans are yet to register a win this season.

Attention now turns to Match week 5, scheduled for 7th June 2026, which will also mark the conclusion of the first round of the RLFG 13s Championship season.
