Published: Sunday, 25th October, 2026

The Rugby League Federation Ghana (RLFG) will bring its 2026 season to a thrilling close with the Friday Night Footy Finals on Friday, November 6, 2026, at the University of Ghana Rugby Stadium, featuring the Diva Series and the Men’s 13s Championship Finals under the lights.

The event will combine competitive rugby league with entertainment, interactive challenges, giveaways and fun activities, offering fans, families and sports enthusiasts an exciting opportunity to celebrate the growth of the sport in Ghana.

The evening will begin with the Diva Series from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, where all four participating teams will compete to accumulate points and determine the final standings. The series will conclude with the presentation of trophies and medals to the top-performing teams, recognizing their performances throughout the competition.

The Diva Series continues to provide a platform for women and girls to develop their skills, gain competitive experience and contribute to the growing profile of women’s rugby league in Ghana.

Attention will then turn to the Men’s 13s Championship Final, scheduled for 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, where Dragons will face the challenge of making history as they contest the final for the first time. Their opponents, the Bulls, enter the occasion as three-time champions, bringing experience and a winning pedigree to what promises to be a compelling contest.

Beyond the action on the field, Friday Night Footy will feature music, entertainment, audience challenges and giveaways, giving spectators the opportunity to participate in activities and enjoy the atmosphere created by rugby league under floodlights.

The event represents more than the conclusion of a season. It is an opportunity to celebrate the players, clubs, coaches, officials, volunteers, partners and supporters whose contributions continue to strengthen rugby league in Ghana.

With two major finals, the recognition of the best-performing women’s teams and a night of entertainment, the RLFG invites the public to the University of Ghana Rugby Stadium to experience the excitement of Friday Night Footy and be part of the sport’s continued development.
